oh food is a powerful language ^_^. and many real life situations can be compared to cook. you do look wonderful but what really shines is the quality of your hard work. thank you for sharing your work.
Hehe, lovelovelove bargains! I'm a charity shop fiend as well! Normally pretty good at finding a bargain on ebay as well! And yes, it really does! Also being a student, it can get very expensive at times.
Tell me about it! And plus, I love just going on scavenger hunts, like thrift stores have become like a candy shop to me. I just love seeing all the different things that are out there! ^_^ What has been the best deal you've ever made for a costume?
Hehe, yup! Know exactly what you mean! Hrm, best bargain.. uhhh. Hrm, I got my Pith helmet for £12, pretty pleased with that! And I recently got a leather jacket for £9.99 What about you? Nothing is really coming to mind right now.
My best deal ever has been when I wanted to do a certain costume, and one of my friends calls me and say, "So I know you like sewing and such, I have this fabric that I'm not using do you want it?"
*clears throat* "Yes!" is my answer. ^^
But in the sense of buying something, I think it has been these steampunk glasses--and I found them at the dollar store! Love them! Since I'm a "starving student" I have yet to make a really "large purchase" for a costume. Can't wait to though! Do you have a costume you want to do really bad but can't?
Ooohhh, now that's really good! See, I'm not that great at sewing, and nor do I have a sewing machine.. so there are a couple of things that I can't do due to lack of sewing skills. Most of my outfits though I get the bits I need in the end. Am thinking about doing a Firewoman outfit, I reallllyy want to get one of the brass fireman helmet, but those can go for about £300, so I doubt I'll be able to get one. >,<
last time i saw something like this, it's weight was about 12, 14 pounds hanging in the shoulders. It were... eh.. like satin-wings ^^", as you want. She said she had themother of pain planted directly in her back the day after.
*giggles* that's... wel... IÄm used to carry much more weight.
Example: My Leather armer (also LARP) weighs about 18 pund . solo, no weapons, no carry.
My second armor is a plastic-Leather-metal mixture for post apocalyptic LARP. The boots are about 5 pund each, the overall is by 5,6 pounds and the armor itself by 8 pound, including the parts for the legs and underarms. I includes steelwire as synthetic muscles, that's why the armor and the overall weights that much ^^
Also, I have to march at least 6 kilometres (just about 4 miles) in one hour, w/ a carry weight of 30 pounds - every three months. That's far easier then earlier in german army if you ask me.
Ouuuuuch, oh wow! You are made of hardy stuff! Though most LARPers really are.
My boyfriend has been doing LARP for yeaaaars, he has a whole room jam-packed full of armour and weaponry and clothes and just generally everything! I normally just go in there and look at all the gorgeous things.
Well done for you, I'm such a whimp compared to you!
